Turfdry was met recently with the good fortune to be contacted by John Heyworth - Chairman of Aspatria RUFC and IOG Vitax Supaturf Volunteer Groundsman of the Year 2013. Following the successful installation of The Turfdry Drainage System using Hydraway Sportsdrain on Aspatria's 2nd XV pitch, John has been full of praise for its effectiveness, describing the system as "a reveation". However, in the aftermath of some heavy rainfall in early October - following a six week dry spell, John was able to document the effectiveness of The Turfdry Drainage System using Hydraway Sportsdrain, sending the above picture and the accompanying comments:
"See attached photo of Apsatria's 1st XV pitch (foreground) flooded after heavy rainfall overnight Friday/Saturday morning, despite there having been no rain for 6 weeks or so, and having been twice aerated by the SR 75 (RFU Cumbria's mechanical aeration equipment) in this period, compared with the adjacent 2nd XV pitch (background, left) which has Hydraway drains installed, and there is no surface water whatsoever.
Today's match was cancelled.
Justification once again for the Sport England grant for the 1st XV pitch, and the efficiency of the Hydraway system installed using the RFU Grant 2 years ago."
We are very grateful to John for having gotten in touch with his positive feelings regarding the effectiveness of The Turfdry Drainage System using Hydraway Sportsdrain, and proud to offer services that have recieved such glowing praise - more of which you can find on our Testimonials Page.
