Concord College, in the heart of the beautiful Shropshire countryside, is a prestigious institution committed to providing its pupils with the finest education; given the firm’s exemplary record of delivering carefully considered and impeccably executed ‘Design & Build’ projects, Turfdry was a natural choice for the School’s ambitions for a new series of sports pitches.
To ensure that the facilities not only meet the high standards the college prizes, but also fit seamlessly into the aesthetic of the surrounding area, extensive consultation between Turfdry and the school’s management has produced a final design that incorporates subtle landscaping to maximise the aesthetics of the pitches, whilst still providing top class sporting facilities.
The works are currently underway, with projected completion for September 2016. Extensive earthworks have been carried out using the latest excavators and bulldozers, fitted with laser-control systems linked via computer software to the satellite-enabled design drawings. Subsequently, the drainage team has begun installing the unique Turfdry Drainage System using Hydraway Sportsdrain, to ensure optimal drainage efficiency from the pitches upon completion.
